Building a modern, scalable e-commerce platform that combines premium editorial aesthetics with robust technical architecture — specifically optimized for UK market requirements (GBP currency, UK address formats, Stripe UK payment methods) while maintaining developer-friendly code quality and deployment simplicity.
The Solution
Architected as a full-stack serverless application on Cloudflare's edge network. Frontend uses React 19 + TypeScript + Vite with the Serif Design System (Tailwind CSS + Shadcn UI + Framer Motion). Backend leverages Cloudflare Pages Functions for API endpoints (checkout, webhooks, admin CRUD). Database uses Supabase (PostgreSQL) with Row Level Security for multi-tenant data isolation. Authentication via Supabase Auth with JWT. Payments via Stripe with webhook verification. Deployed globally on Cloudflare Pages for instant cache and edge compute.
